About the Artist
Artist Samira Gdisis is a 2010 graduate of UW-Parkside and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art with a concentration in Interdisciplinary Art and printmaking. She also obtained a Master of Art in Museum Studies from Johns Hopkins University. Gdisis is the owner of the Black-Eyed Press: a printmaking and book arts studio. She facilitates workshops, activities and events for artists of all ages both in the Black-Eyed Press and on other sites. Gdisis is well versed in gallery curation and has been the Gallery Director of Gallery on 16th: the creative exhibit space16th Street Studios since 2016.
